The Pursuit Of Happines

People are so quick to settle for a mediocre life that barely gets them by. Every morning you see people crowding the freeways and busy intersections, to make it on time to a place that will barely pay their bills and give their families enough to eat.

I understand that you have to make a living, but we are only given one shot and I often wonder why people stay at a job for 20 plus years that does not make them happy. In today's society, where the price of everything (gas, food, taxes) keeps increasing and the pay at a job stays the same, why people settle with barely getting by.

Most households have two incomes coming in, where the the mother and father are both out of the home working in the corporate world. Even with both parents working that is barely enough. It has been said that the only way to get ahead is to start a business of some kind out of the home. Donald Trump has said that if he lost everything, he would find a network marketing business and put everything into it and get everything back.

When it comes to a network marketing business, you have to find a system that is going to be supportive, and you can believe in. You have to be willing to persist until you achieve the goals you have set for yourself. Persistence is the name of the game (after all if it came easily more people would follow their dreams.) That is why their is only the top 3 percent, because not many people are willing to do whatever it takes to make their dreams come true.

In the movie "Pursuit of Happiness," Chris Gardner played by Will Smith went through a lot of adversities. The adversities that he faced would make the normal man or woman walk away from pursuing their dreams. It is a true story about a man who is trying to make a life for him and his family, and has huge dreams about becoming a stock broker. He is put to the test when him and his son are left homeless and forced to sleep in shelters.

In the movie he mentions Thomas Jefferson and the "Declaration of Independence" which all mentions the pursuit of happiness. I believe that the "pursuit of happiness" for me means following your dreams, if it is something that your truly desire. Once cannot be truly happy working at a job that is barely making ends meet. We have all been given equal opportunity in this world, it is what we choose to do with it that matters. I have listed some tips that I use when I set goals for myself. Feel free to incorporate them into the style you use:

1. Write your goals down daily

2. Visualize about them daily, as if they were already accomplished.

3. Meditation; spend some quiet time without thought.

4. Mastermind with other people who are working towards their goals

and who will support you in reaching yours.

5. Journal your progress daily.

6. Never give up, until you reach your goal.

If you do not reach your goals on a date you have set for yourself, do not be discouraged, just reset the date and keep working towards your goal. Never lower goal, always know without a doubt that you will reach your goal.

Start with small goals and as you accomplish the smaller goals it will be easier to accomplish the bigger goals. Do not ever let anyone tell you that you can not accomplish your goals. People will be quick to let you know that you can not do something, because they are too scared to attempt anything.

People will be quick to bring your down they do not want you to experience true happiness because they believe their is no such thing as happiness. Remember that we as humans have so much potential, but you have to be the one to tap into it. It will not be shown to you until you start utilizing it. The universe will work with you to help you achieve your goals, always pursue them with the full expectation of achieving them and never stop and their is absolutely no way you will not achieve whatever you are working towards.

Start living today and start your "pursuit of happiness" why wait until tomorrow, we are not promised tomorrow. Wake up everyday and follow your dreams and live life as if you are a child who is waking up every morning on Christmas Day. Be grateful for everything in your life and you will see what a difference that makes.
